One Credit Short

2008 Unified Auditions - One Credit Short?

Non-Equity actors who are one (1) credit short of meeting the minimum resume credit requirement outlined for Non-Equity applicants may request special consideration when applying for the Unified Auditions by submitting a completed Non-Equity application AND a Letter of Recommendation from the Artistic Director of a theatre company for which you have performed in a full production within the last 2 years.

For this special consideration, the Artistic Director's Letter of Recommendation is required in order for the Review Committee to consider your other stage credits.

Applicants who are one credit short and apply for the Unified Auditions with a Letter of Recommendation will be considered for any remaining Non-Equity audition or Alternate slots after all qualified Non-Equity applicants have been assigned. Assignment of the remaining slots will be done through a lottery system drawn from a pool of qualifying applicants with a Letter of Recommendation who are accepted by the Review Committee.

Important Things to Know:

1. This special consideration request is not applicable to members of Actor's Equity.

2. Applicants must meet the minimum Non-Equity criteria within one (1) credit. The Artistic Director's Letter of Recommendation will be considered by the Review Committee for the missing credit.

3. Applicants applying with the letter of recommendation must have a minimum of - a minimum four (4) full production credits from community or professional companies
with, at a minimum, one qualifying credit from an Equity Theatre AND a Letter of Recommendation (as outlined above).
OR- a minimum of six (6) full production credits from community or professional companies AND a Letter of Recommendation (as outlined above). Note: You may only count credits for productions you were in at a college or university if you were not a student during the production.

4. Applying for the Unified Auditions with a Letter of Recommendation is not a guarantee of acceptance.
