Antonia "Nia" LaChe graduated from the University of Georgia with a dual Theatre and Advertising degree and Sociology minor in 2011. Some of her favorite roles while at UGA consists of Poncia in the House of Bernarda Alba, Berniece in the Piano Lesson, and a cast member in the english world primere production of Augusto Boal's the Misadventures of Uncle McBuck. Currently she is a proud member of the 2011- 2012 Atlanta Shakespeare Tavern Acting Apprentice Company. She made her Tavern stage primere as Katherine in the recent production of Love's Labour's Lost.
Furthermore, she has a huge heart for theatre education and teaching workshops. She has been self teaching herself Augusto Boal's Theatre of the oppressed techniques to utilize in her classrooms. She has taught workshops at the Oconee Boy's and Girl's club, interned as a teaching assistant for the Rose of Athens theatre program, and taught different "playshops" for the Shakespeare Tavern education program.
