About Nick Morrett is a graduating musical theatre major for Kennesaw State Univeristy. While at KSU, he has played numerous roles such as Dr.Parker in "Bat Boy" and The Snake, Balladeer and Narrarator in "The Apple Tree"hich earned him a 2008 Irene Ryan nomination. He got his professional start at the Springer Opera House in Columbus Ga back in 2004 playing the roles of Pedro in "Man of La Mancha" and Mr.Mayor in "Seussical the Musical. Since then, he has performed with many well known Atlanta Theatres such as: Actors Express performing in Zanna Don't (Steve Bookman), Aurora Theatre in Kiss Me Kate (Hortensio), Legacy Theatre in High School Musical (Zeke), Atlanta Lyric Theatre in Forever Plaid (Sparky) which earned a 2008 Suzi Bass nomination, Evita (Eva's Brother), Anything Goes (Sailors Quartet), School House Rock (Tom) and Beauty and the Beast (Knife/Fish Man). Some of his other credits include: Titanic a new musical (Barrett), Joseph... Dreamcoat (Joseph), Cabaret (Cliff) and Seussical the musical (Horton). He had 2 MAT Award nominations for Major Supporting Male in a musical for Amos Hart in "Chicago" and Munkustrap in "Cats". In 2007, Nick got runner-up in the Campus Superstar competition, an american idol competition for college students. When he isn't performing, he teaches voice, piano, directs and teaching drama classes around the marietta, roswell and atlanta area. |
