Coordinate and conduct ARCH Team Training and meetings, one meeting a month for the entire team, and a meeting with In-House Stage Directors only once a month, and a 1-on-1 supervision meeting with each in-house stage director. Each training session should incorporate the strengths of each team member. Center for Puppetry Arts seeks Master Electrician (full-time position with benefits). Position requires skills in lighting, basic rigging and CAD drafting, as well as a working knowledge of sound and projections. The ME is responsible for hanging and focusing lights, hiring and supervising crews, striking plots, equipment maintenance, archiving designs, accommodating guest performer’s lighting needs, and technical support for in house events. Other duties may include some lighting design, installing and maintaining sound and projection equipment, creating special effects and research for possible new acquisitions. The ME will be expected to work regular hours during the week with some evening and weekend hours as necessary. They will function as part of a close-knit team of professionals as well as work independently with minimal supervision as necessary. The successful candidate will have a background in theatre production, a valid driver’s license, the ability to lift 50 pounds on a consistent basis and a demonstrated ability in problem solving. Knowledge of safety practices and procedures is a must. A conscientious attitude and pride in doing quality work are essential. A sense of humor is advantageous. The Aurora Theatre in Lawrenceville, GA is looking for local lighting, sound, and crew members for upcoming short term rentals in their new space. Dates vary throughout the season and consist of events lasting from 1 night to 3 weeks. All positions are paid hourly with a 4-hour minimum call per day of work. All personnel will need to be familiar with the Aurora Theatre Campus, including both theatres and support areas. All personnel will need to be able to work well with renters and be a gracious representative for the Aurora Theatre at all times. Lighting personnel need to be able to do basic programming on an ETC 48/96 Express, focus instruments and be willing to be taught how to run the Horizon Lighting systems (a pc based lighting program) and the ETC Congo Junior. Sound personnel must be able to balance live microphones, run playback, set levels and run monitors on a 36-channel mixer. Crew personnel must be able to move scenery, act as stage manager when necessary and be willing to learn to operate a computerized JR Clancy hoist system for the over the stage electrics and fly system. Technicians that have experience in all fields need only send one resume with all their skills and references.
